Fiat possibly interested in Vauxhall and Opel brands
Market sources claim that Fiat has expressed its interest in acquiring brands from GM like Vauxhall and Opel.
Vauxhall is based in UK while Opel is based in Germany.
GM has already announced that they are going to close down much of its US manufacturing operation for nine weeks over the summer which is turning out to be a very bad deal for their workers.
The company is in a financial crisis as they are likely to miss a $1bn debt repayment due on 1 June.
Sources have also said that GM is now considering bankruptcy as a probable move rather than just an option.
