General Motors could shut down Pontiac
Market sources are hinting that GM is close to announcing that they are shutting down their Pontiac division.
An official announcement can come as early as Monday next week.
GM has declined to comment on these reports for now.
The company is struggling in the domestic market and is said to be considering bankruptcy as an option.
GM recently stated that they were going to concentrate on their core brands… Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac.
Incidentally, Pontiac is still doing pretty well as it was the company’s third-best selling brand behind Chevrolet and GMC last year.
