Toyota small car in India would cost between Rs 5-7 lakhs

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has revealed that their upcoming small car model would be priced in the range of Rs. 5-7 lakhs.

This would put it in the premium compact car segment which has become highly competitive in the recent times.

Toyota representative Sandeep Singh said: “The compact car will be priced in the B+ category.”

It would compete with existing models in this segment like Maruti Suzuki Swift, Skoda Fabia and the Chevrolet UVA.

Toyota said that this model would be offered in both hatchback and sedan editions. This means that the company would finally have a cheap sedan on sale as well that could potentially compete with Honda City and of course Maruti Suzuki DZiRE.
