Toyota Lexus coming to India through import route

Japanese automaker Toyota has announced that they are soon going to offer Lexus branded luxury cars in the Indian market.

These cars would be imported in India for sale. And hence they are likely to come at a premium.

The company hopes to become a larger player in the luxury segment which is growing at an impressive pace.

BMW and Mercedes Benz are both performing well in the Indian market with their models.

Toyota spoke about Lexus: “We are very much looking at introducing Lexus, based on the feedback of our dealers and distributors, but are yet to decide on a final timeframe to launch it in India.”
