Tata booked 2.03 lakh Nano units
Tata recently closed the initial bookings for their Tata Nano small car.
The company has now revealed that they have received 2.03 lakh fully paid bookings for their recently launched small car.
Tata Nano has become the cheapest car on sale in the Indian market and probably the world.
It has no competition at the moment in the Indian market. Maruti 800 is the only alternative which is around Rs. 50,000 more expensive.
Tata said that they had sold around 6.10 lakh forms. The company added that around 30% of the applicants paid the full amount in cash without any financing.
The top end model was the most popular with around 50% bookings for it. Around 20% customers went for the base model that lacks an air conditioner.
