Microsoft cut more jobs in their operations
Software giant Microsoft has announced that they are cutting more than 3,000 jobs in their global operations.
This is the second such job cut announced by the company in the recent times.
Microsoft had earlier announced in January that they were going to cut up to 5,000 jobs over the next 18 months.
The company has hinted that more job cuts might be announced in the future considering the global economy is still in a crisis.
Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has been quoted as saying to company employees: “As we move forward, we will continue to closely monitor the impact of the economic downturn on the company and if necessary, take further actions on our cost structure including additional job eliminations.”
