Microsoft India to cut some jobs

Microsoft has revealed that they would cut around 55 jobs in their Indian operations.

This comes to just around 1% of their total workforce in the Indian market.

These job cuts are part of their global cuts which are aimed to cut costs.

The company had announced earlier this year that they would cut up to 5,000 jobs due to slowing down economy.

Microsoft India said that the job cuts are part of their continued effort to realign resources and control expenses in the country.

A company representative said: “One percent of the net rolls across India will be impacted by the realignment. While the impact is across almost all business units, the highest impact is across MSIT and SMSG.”
