Skoda Fabia now being manufactured at Volkswagen facility in Pune
German auto giant Volkswagen has announced that they are manufacturing Skoda Fabia at their new factory located in Pune near Mumbai.
Volkswagen also plans to start manufacturing a version of VW Polo at this plant in the near future.
More models are expected to be build at this unit which the company claims is among the most modern in the concern with a high percentage of local suppliers.
Skoda is a Czech based automaker owned by Volkswagen. It was the first VW owned brand to launch their cars in the Indian market. Audi is also now present in India.
