Honda planning a sub Rs. 5 lakh car for India
Honda is already scheduled to launch their Jazz model in the Indian market.
This model was initially expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 5.5 lakhs.
However, recent reports suggest that Honda Jazz would be sold for much more at around Rs. 7 lakhs.
The latest news in the market is that the company has started working on a potential new model for the Indian market which could be priced below the crucial Rs. 5 lakh mark.
Indian customers are now used to buying premium compact cars at around this price level.
A lot of new models are now sold in the Indian market between Rs. 4-5 lakhs and the sales are good.
Honda now wants a piece of this pie which is dominated by Maruti Suzuki Swift, Tata Indica and Hyundai i20.
