Hyundai India planning an Ultra Small Car
Hyundai is already one of the biggest automakers in the Indian market.
The company is now aiming to expand their presence with a new small car that would compete at the lowest end of the market.
Hyundai Santro is currently their cheapest offering which is still pretty expensive when compared to Tata Nano and Maruti Suzuki 800.
Hyundai Motors India said in a statement: “We plan to bring out an ultra low cost car in Indian market, probably by 2011.”
They are aiming to price this new car at around Rs. 2.5 lakhs. It would be bigger than the Nano but would be a step below their Santro model.
