TiVo posts a loss
Digital video recorder service provider TiVo has come out with their latest revenue report and they have posted a small loss.
The company said that they struggled in the quarter as paid subscriptions declined against the backdrop of the economic downturn.
Thankfully, the loss was smaller than what the market analysts had expected.
TiVo posted a loss of $4.13 million, or 4 cents a share. This is pretty bad compared to a profit of $3.6 million, or 4 cents a share they posted in the same period last year.
TiVo added that the revenues from services and technology also declined to $48.5 million from $54.9 million.
