Sichuan Tengzhong could acquire Hummer from GM

GM has revealed that they are going to sell their Hummer brand to Chinese company Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery.

The financial aspects of the deal have not been revealed to the media.

Sichuan Tengzhong is based in Sichuan and they are in construction business.

The deal between GM and Sichuan Tengzhong is expected to be friendlier towards the workers working in Hummer factories.

GM said that they aim to save around 3000 jobs with this deal.

Sichuan Tengzhong has said that they see a worldwide market for Hummer. It could in fact become a hit in their domestic market of China.
