Tata Nano in USA in two years?
Tata Motors has said that they are hoping to start offering their small car Nano in the US market in the coming years.
The aim is to launch the Nano in US by 2011.
Tata boss Ratan Tata said: “It will need to meet all emission and crash standards and so we hope in the next two years we will be offering such a vehicle in the U.S.”
He was speaking at the Cornell Global Forum on Sustainable Global Enterprise.
They are also planning to launch it in Europe by 2011. The international model of the Nano would be much different and expensive compared to the Nano which is being sold in the Indian market.
