Peugeot might come back to India
Market sources say that Peugeot is seriously pursuing re-entering the Indian market.
Peugeot had an unsuccessful run in the Indian market when they launched their products in 1990s.
Reports claim that the company is now looking for a location to set up its manufacturing facility plant in the southern part of the country.
They are likely to setup their unit in either Andhra Pradesh or Tamil Nadu.
Peugeot is likely to launch Citroen branded cars in the Indian market first. Indian market is dominated by smaller cars. Diesel cars are also now preferred over petrol ones.
The company could do well if they can launch the right products at the right prices.
