Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid discontinued
Wall Street Journal has reported that GM is not going to manufacture the 2010 edition of Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid due to poor response to this model.
GM has been focusing on expanding their hybrid car range but they have decided to scrap the next update to this model as the current model is not selling well enough in the market.
They are going to sell their remaining stock to customers who are interested in this model.
The problem with the Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid model was that it offered little. Fuel efficiency was marginally better than the much cheaper petrol edition.
Saturn Vue Hybrid is also a dead model for the time being. It would not be sold by Penske Automotive Group who are acquiring the Saturn brand from GM.
