SingTel AMPed mobile digital media service launched

SingTel is the largest telecom company in the South East Asia.

They are now collaborating with Universal Music to launch a new digital service for mobile users.

This new service has been named AMPed. It is designed to let the mobile users download music files and videos from the web.

They are hoping to attract more customers to their mobile services through this new product offering.

SingTel’s CEO for Singapore Allen Lew spoke about their decision to launch this service: “SingTel decided two years ago that the telco of the future needs to be more than just bits and bytes.”

They are now planning to launch this mobile service in the international markets.
