Qantas cancels order for Boeing Dreamliner 787 aircraft
Boeing has suffered a major setback as Australian airline company Qantas has now cancelled a major order for their Dreamliner 787 aircraft.
Qantas revealed that they have cancelled orders for around 15 of these jumbo sized planes.
This is mostly Boeing’s fault as they have further postponed the launch of this ambitious aircraft.
Qantas however said that they cancelled the order due to the worsening economic conditions.
They had placed this order originally in 2005. Qantas added that a lot has changed since then and the global economy has taken a beating.
Boeing has already delayed the launch of their 787 Dreamliner plane five times.
They have received orders for around 800 of these planes making it their best selling model yet.
