Imagination Technologies gets more investments from Apple
Apple has further invested in U.K. chip company, Imagination Technologies.
Apple has now acquired another 2.2 million shares in the company for a total ownership of around 9.5%.
This latest investment was around 3.14 million pounds.
The company uses Imagination’s SGX GPU in their recently launched Apple iPhone 3GS smartphone device.
Sources say that this processor allows them to have much better graphics using Apple’s OpenGL ES 2.0 technology.
Samsung is also said to be in the process of implementing their technology into their own products.
