Speedus sues Verizon Wireless on patent infringement
Speedus Corp. has reportedly sued the US based mobile service provider Verizon Wireless. Speedus is basically a loss making company, which runs two fast-food restaurants and also owns a medical technology company.
They claim that Verizon Wireless is infringing on their patented technologies.
Verizon Wireless has declined to comment on this lawsuit saying that they are yet to receive the copy of the lawsuit. The company is owned by Verizon Communications and Vodafone Group.
Speedus is suing the company over a patent related to the transmission of television programs to wireless devices. The lawsuit also involves another patent related to simultaneous transmission of analog and digital signals within the same bandwidth.
The company holds as many as 50 wireless technology patents and have just around 50 employees.
