Ford, GM suspends manufacturing in Russia
The problems for US based auto giants Ford and GM seems to be never ending.
The two companies have now suspended production of their cars in the Russian market due to lack of demand and slow sales.
GM spoke about this decision: “GM has decided to suspend production from July 1 to August 30. The suspension is in response to the decline in the automobile market.”
Ford has suspended manufacturing from July 1 to July 9.
Russia was recently considered one of the hottest markets in the European region for automakers.
However, the economic slowdown has resulted in massive slowdown in the Russian market.
