Spicejet could buy new jets from Boeing for expansion

Indian budget segment airline company SpiceJet is likely to buy some new planes from the US based company Boeing to expand their fleet.

The company is likely to continue acquiring Boeing planes so that they can have a fleet of planes from the same manufacturer.

This would help them in keeping maintenance costs low while getting a good value out of a deal in a potential future merger with a rival.

The company has placed orders for around 30 planes ever since they begin operating in the Indian market.

They are currently scheduled to launch their international operations from next year.
