Ford Endeavour cheaper by Rs. 6000
Call it the budget effect, Ford India has announced a minor price cut on their Endeavour sports utility model.
Ford Endeavour is now cheaper by around Rs. 6000 after the Indian Finance Minister announced a cut in the excise duty applicable on cars of engine capacity 2000 cc and above from Rs 20,000 to Rs 15,000 per vehicle.
Ford is not alone in passing this benefit to the end customers. A couple of other companies have also announced similar price cuts.
A price cut of Rs. 6000 is however not going to matter much when the cars are costing above Rs. 10 lakhs!
And this is still a disappointment considering the government is again deciding awarding benefits on the bases of engine capacity rather than fuel efficiency or pollution norms.
