Ratan Tata could be asked to help revive Air India
Air India was founded by J R D Tata way back in 1932. It is currently owned and operated by the Indian government.
The times are so bad, that the government might ask help from Tata chairman Ratan Tata to help revive the company.
Indian Aviation minister Praful Patel has announced that the government is planning to establish an international advisory board to help the airline company bounce back.
This committee could be headed by Ratan Tata as he said: “The board will be headed by someone of the eminence of a luminary like Ratan Tata and will be set up within a month.”
Tata was incidentally the non-executive chairman of Air India back in the 1980s.
