Steven Rattner quits from US auto task force
Steven Rattner has announced his decision to quit from the auto task force created by the US government.
He was one of the men responsible for helping Chrysler and General Motors during bankruptcy period.
Rattner said that there is little need now for daily interaction with auto industry officials.
He is now returning back to New York City to spend more time with his family.
U.S. Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner spoke about him: “We are extremely grateful to Steve for his efforts in helping to strengthen GM and Chrysler, recapitalize GMAC, and support the American auto industry. I hope that he takes another opportunity to bring his unique skills to government service in the future.”
Ron Bloom would take over from Rattner in the task force now.
