Bajaj discontinues Pulsar 200 model

Bajaj Auto has announced that they are now discontinuing their Pulsar 200cc model.

The replacement model is the recently launched Pulsar 220cc which has been priced very competitively.

The new updated model takes on rival products in the market including Yamaha FZ series, Hero Honda Karizma, TVS Apache and Honda CBF Stunner.

Bajaj claims that the new Pulsar 220 is the fastest production bike in the Indian market.

The company said: “The carburettored version of the new Pulsar 220, which has been launched, offers higher power and better performance at a much lesser price. So, continuing with the Pulsar 200 was not possible, as it was priced in the similar range. We wanted to offer the buyers a better bike at an affordable rate.”

As a result, Bajaj Pulsar is now available in three variants: 150, 180 and 220.

200 is the most H A N D S O M E Pulsar ever built ! yes it looks far better than the brother 220 .Current fairing of 220 looks some what alien like… (doesn’t matches the stance of the bike, as compared to other bikes having sporty fairing like HH Karizma ,YZF R15, New Fazer 09 and H Stunner.) But for the 200 ,one can easily comment that the every part of the bike(biggest or smallest) is designed exclusively for it.It really looks great! In 2009 other pulsars are taking style clues from this M A S T E R P I E C E.
Apart form the styling, it is really noticeable that it was the first bike having Oil-Cooler,O-Ring chain and split seats when launched. And it was also the smoothest and the cleanest Pulsar when launched.
(220 owners please don’t mind, I just want to explain that 200 was best in class(Street Fighter) by the looks but 220 is not(In racing or sport tourer looks….remember I m commenting just about the looks this time.)
In India Pulsar means power…and 200 delivered it in far better way than the previous versions, with a considerably bigger amount and a Never before head turning Style….really matchless (in present scenario
    too….including the current Pulsars)
Now when it has been discontinued, we can remember it as a Limited Addition of the Pulsar series, which was NOT COMMON at all, and was designed and engineered for some special customers like ME..:)(now mine is exclusive):) Guys…you are going to Miss it!!!

i was in the verge of buying p200 and poof…its scraped off the production…i don’t like 220..its look is alien and power is also midway..better would be,producing a new bike in 250cc range..i think i’ll go for 180 instead..
