AOL to focus on core strengths for revival
AOL Chief Executive Tim Armstrong has said that the company has the potential to survive and become profitable even after it is spun out of Time Warner.
He is asking the investors to hold on to their stock in the company to reap the benefits in the coming years.
However, it would not be an easy decision for the investors as AOL has been a struggling online company which has failed to compete against the giants on the web like Google, Yahoo and even Microsoft.
Armstrong said: “Advertisers are going to be driving to Internet Road and AOL is a major property on Internet Road. The property needs some work.”
He aims to focus on the core strengths of the company to clean up the mess at AOL.
