Nissan Micra to be manufactured in India

Nissan Motors has announced their plans to manufacture their small car Micra in the Indian market.

This car would be manufactured at their upcoming plant in Chennai.

This new plant is expected to be operational from next year.

It would have an initial manufacturing capacity of 200,000 cars per year.

Nissan said that it has become difficult for them to make profitable cars in Europe for sale.

But they are also establishing manufacturing units in India to boost their presence in this growing market.

Nissan is already working with Renault on a small car project that would take on Tata Nano.
