The company has already become the third largest smartphone maker in the world.

And this has been achieved with a single product named Apple iPhone.

Apple has till now launched three different versions of the iPhone.

Two of them are currently on sale in the markets around the world.

Gartner has reported that Apple sold more than 5.4 million iPhones in the second quarter of 2009.

This is a huge improvement of sales in the same period last year.

Apple managed to achieve a market share of 13.3 percent for this period.

Nokia continues to dominate the smartphone market with a market share of 45 percent.
