Tesla Motors planning an electric SUV model!
Tesla Motors is one of the hottest automakers in the world today.
They are makers of electric cars and are already selling a model which has become rather popular.
The company is scheduled to launch a sedan edition for around USD 50,000 in the next two years.
Tesla Motors boss Elon Musk has now revealed that the company is also working on a SUV model that would be launched after the cheaper sedan edition.
Musk further said that the longer term goal is to have another sedan model that could be priced below USD 30,000.
They are currently manufacturing around 1000 cars per year. The next model Tesla Model S is likely to boost the demand. The company aims to manufacture 20,000 cars per year in the next couple of years.
Tesla is incidentally also involved in a project with Smart to develop the electric version of their ForTwo.

Do we really need SUVs? I’d rather have a capable sedan. There are enough SUVs on the road.
