Qwest Communications to exit wireless services market

Qwest Communications International has announced that they are going to exit from the wireless services market.

The company would discontinue their own branded wireless service later this year.

They would soon start advising their customers to move to a different service provider.

Since number portability is available in the US market, customers would be able to retain their existing numbers.

The company previously provided services through their Sprint Nextel network. But later on shifted to Verizon Wireless network.

Qwest said that the wireless market has become so competitive that it is hard for them to survive as a small player.
