Star TV Asia splitting into three entities
News Corp has announced that they are now restructuring their television operations in the Asian market.
Star TV Asia is being divided into three different entities:
Star India
Star Greater China
Fox International Channels
Star India would be headed by CEO Uday Shankar. It would manage 19 television channels being broadcast in eight different languages.
Star Greater China would be headed by John Lau and it would manage the company’s Chinese-language portfolio.
Fox International Channels would be responsible for managing 37 channels under 17 different brands.
