Maruti to decide on Kizashi launch in 2011-12

Maruti Suzuki was expected to launch the parent company’s latest model Kizashi in India sometime next year.

However, the company has now said that they have not made any definitive plans to bring Kizashi to India.

The company aims to look into the possibility of launching this new model by 2011-12.

Maruti Suzuki is the leading automaker in the Indian market. But most of their sales happen in the low cost car segments.

Maruti dominates in the market of cars which are priced below Rs. 4-5 lakhs. They are performing well with their sedan models too.

But premium sedan segment is not something where Maruti has done well. Maruti Suzuki SX4 pales in comparison with Honda City. Grand Vitara too does not sell that many units.
