Infosys Technologies to hire engineers from UK and USA

While the Indian government is forcing the private companies to hire people based on cast, Infosys Technologies has announced their decision to hire graduates fresh out of college in the U.S. and the U.K.

This is part of the company’s globalization plan to have a more diversified workforce. The company has plans to recruit 300 college graduates from universities across the United States this year.

The first batch of 100 recruits would come to India to get training at the company’s development centers across India for six months. After training, they would return to US to work at Infosys’ US based operations.

This would be a first for an Indian company to employ such a large number of workers from other countries. Infosys Chairman Narayana Murthy spoke about this initiative: “We firmly believe that the future success of Infosys lies in its ability to create an environment that is open to people from different nationalities and ethnicities.”
