Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India to expand and update bikes

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has announced that they are going to invest an additional Rs 200 crore this fiscal to ramp up the production to meet the growing demand in the Indian market.

The company is also planning to update all their products to meet the Bharat Stage-III emission norms.

Honda India is also considering launching a new 250cc bike in the market to compete against the recently launched Pulsar 220.

Honda India said: “Within this financial year we will upgrade all our models to BS-III emission norms compliant and for that we will invest over Rs 100 crore in our Research and Development (R&D) activities.”

The company also has plans to launch a brand new 100cc bike in the coming months. Some new variants of existing products are also planned.
