Audi to assemble Q5 in India to save costs

Audi has announced that they are going to start assembling their Q5 sports utility vehicle in India to save costs.

The company would be able to lower the price of this model in the market with this initiative. Lower price would mean a better value for the customer leading to more sales.

Assembling the vehicle locally would help the company as they would save a lot of money on paying taxes and duties to the Indian government.

The company said: “India is the second country after Germany where the Q5 will be assembled.”

Audi already assembles their A4 and A6 luxury sedans in India. They have also just launched their new Q7 SUV with 3.0-liter diesel in the market.
