Maruti to shift some more production to Manesar plant
Maruti Suzuki India has revealed that they are now working on shifting some of their production capacity from their main plant inside Gurgaon to their new setup at Manesar.
The company said: “The Gurgaon plant will be gradually changed to a base for engine assembly and machining, while automobile assembly will be integrated at Manesar plant.”
Maruti did not reveal which cars would be manufactured now at their Manesar plant.
Their plant in Gurgaon currently manufactures M800, Maruti Omni, Maruti Versa and Maruti Gypsy models. The Manesar plant handles the rest of their offerings.
