Future Mercedes-Benz S-Class could all be hybrids
Mercedes Benz has stated that they are considering making all their future S-Class models hybrids.
The German automaker said in a statement: “The modular configuration is so versatile that we’re seriously exploring the possibility of equipping the next generation S-Class models entirely with hybrid drivelines.”
Industry analysts believe that Mercedes is at an advantage with the hybrids as their cars are already priced high compared to regular cars.
The company can use their premium cars as the platform to develop better hybrid technologies which can someday power the cheaper ones.
