Nortel Networks to sell their Enterprise Solutions division to Avaya
Nortel has announced that they have picked Avaya as the acquirer of their Enterprise Solutions division.
Avaya would be paying close to around USD 900 million for this deal. They are going to pay an additional USD 15 million for the employee retention program.
Nortel said that they are pretty satisfied with this deal. The company added: “It provides the capability to chart our future with laser-focus, enabling customers to compete in new ways with greater scale and resources.”
Nortel is now expected to sell their Metro Ethernet Networks operations next.
