This model has already seen sales of one lakh units in the last 18 months. Maruti Swift Dzire is available in both petrol and diesel models. The diesel model dominates the sales.

The company had to increase the sales of this model to meet the growing demand in the market. The diesel edition of the Swift Dzire continues to have a waiting period in some markets in India.

Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire was developed on the Swift platform as the company added a boot to the popular hatchback to make it a sedan.

The launch was hugely successful and it continues to sell in large numbers.
