Hyundai 800cc car could be priced at around USD 5000
Hyundai has been working on a new small car for the developing markets like India.
This car is likely to come powered with an 800cc engine and could be priced at around USD 5000.
This would put this car in direct competition with the Maruti Suzuki Alto. Customers could also be lured away from Maruti Suzuki 800.
The company has stated that they would manufacture this new car at their Chennai plant. The launch is however some years away.
Hyundai is currently the second largest automaker in the Indian market and this new car is likely to boost their presence here.
