Coca-Cola and IBM remain most valuable global brands

Google, Facebook and Twitter might be making headlines on the web but in real world Coca-Cola and IBM are the most valuable brands.

Interbrand reported that the combine value of the world’s top 100 brands has fallen for the first time in the last 10 years.

Interbrand CEO Jez Frampton added: “That says something about the environment that we’re in, especially when you consider that brands are by nature less volatile than business valuations.”

Frampton added that be believes that a company’s brand value is its most prized possession.

He further said: “In a cluttered world where people are time-compressed, brands are short cuts to help them make decisions.”
