Toyota Corolla Altis CNG Edition in India!
Market sources say that the Japanese automaker Toyota is working on launching the CNG edition of their Corolla Altis in the Indian market.
Toyota Corolla Altis CNG could arrive as early as next month.
CNG has become a very popular alternate fuel in the Indian market.
One of the primary reason being the cost. Running your car on CNG can save you a lot of money. The costs come to around Rs. 1-1.5 per kilometre for most cars.
And getting a company fitted kit is a safe way to get your hands on a CNG powered car.
There is just one problem… The lack of CNG stations around the country. Even in cities where CNG is available, there are long queues of cars waiting to get their tanks filled.
Mercedes Benz has already announced that they are not going to launch CNG powered cars in India for the simple reason… They do not want their customers waiting in line on the CNG pumps along with taxis.
Things might change in the coming years as more CNG stations open around the country.
