Mohali set to get international airport
Mohali city in Punjab is set to get an international airport this year.
International flights could begin operating from the city from December 2009.
The state government has still not decided on the official name of this upcoming airport.
It would be connected through Zirakpur to Panchkula.
The state government believes that the airport would help in economic development in the region as traders would no longer be required to go to Delhi to fly internationally.
