Hero Honda Karizma fuel-injection model launched

Things are becoming rather interesting in the two wheeler segment here in India.

While Bajaj is concentrating more on their recently launched Discover 100cc bike, Hero Honda has now launched a new variant of Karizma with fuel injection technology.

Hero Honda added that they plan to remain active in the premium segment bikes.

The company said: “We have been making attempts to increase our share in the premium segment of the bike market, which is bikes above 150cc. Numbers for us have been rising here and we have seen sales volume of our premium bikes treble over the last three years.”

Hero Honda Karizma ZMR comes powered with a 225 cc fuel injection engine and the company has also added a digital ignition system.

The company spoke about this new model: “One of the key pillars of our winning strategy has been to consistently keep introducing new, advanced products and maintaining a balanced product portfolio. The ZMR is set to further augment our steadily growing presence in the premium segment.”

Bajaj has their Pulsar 220 in this segment of the market.
