General Motors could launch Reva powered electric car next year!
GM India has signed an agreement with Reva Electric Car Company.
The two companies would work on developing electric cars for sale in the Indian market.
Industry sources say that the first of these products could arrive as early as next year!
REVA already manufactures and sell electric cars here in India.
The two companies said that they have not finalized any plans to launch a product in the near future.
GM India said: “Electric car technology is fast growing in the domestic market, primarily due to government support. By this agreement signed today, we hope to get the first mover advantage in the consumer’s minds”.
GM India is likely to be interested in developing an electric version of their small car Spark.
