General Motors India is likely to launch their next model Chevrolet Cruze on October 12.

Chevrolet Cruze is likely to be priced around Rs. 12-14 lakhs and it would compete with models like Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla.

Skoda Laura is another strong player in this segment of the market.

Chevrolet Cruze is likely to be launched in the diesel version first. A petrol variant could be introduced at a later stage.

The company is also expected to launch a new small car before the end of the year.
