Volkswagen India to expand distribution network
Volkswagen has big plans for the Indian market. The German automaker is expected to launch Polo hatchback next year.
The company has said that they are working on expanding their distribution network around the country to make sure they can sell through enough dealers.
VW said: “Gearing up to the launch of our high volume model Polo, we are expanding our distribution network. By the end of this year the company will have 40 dealers.”
The company currently has around 22 dealers around the country.
Volkswagen is planning to launch both hatchback and sedan edition of the Polo which would make these segments very interesting to watch.
VW is also working on bringing their iconic model Beetle to India. They currently sell Jetta and Passat luxury sedans in India.
