Nokia, Motorola, Samsung are the mobile industry leaders in China
China happens to be one of the fastest growing mobile markets in the world along with India. And like India, Nokia, Motorola and Samsung are the dominating players in this market.
As per incoming reports, the growth in this market continued in the first quarter of the current year and is expected to stay in the coming years. The mobile phone sales increased more than seven percent compared to the previous quarter.
The quarter sales were around 22.38 million units out of which 21 million phones were based on the GSM technology. Rest of the phones were based on the CDMA technology.
The three global players took away market share from local brands like ZTE, Hisense, and Huawei.
Last year, the industry sale mobile sales touching an impressive 79 million units. While Nokia dominates in the sales of GSM based phones, Samsung is the market leader in CDMA phone segment.
