Porsche likely to offer more diesel engines in India

It is no surprise that Indian automobile customers prefer diesel engines in their cars provided they can afford it.

The diesel models of cars like Swift Dzire and Octavia are hugely popular.

Even Mercedes-Benz sell diesel cars in large numbers.

The reason is simple… Diesel is much cheaper compared to petrol. And Diesel engines have high torque and could be made fun to drive if configured properly.

Porsche has released this fact and they are considering bringing more of their diesel powered variants in the Indian market.

Porsche Cayenne Diesel is already a huge seller in the Indian market.

Porsche Panamera diesel edition could soon be offered in the Indian market.

Other models that might get diesel editions in the future include 911 Turbo and 911 GT3 RS.

In fact, the company could also launch hybrids and even electric versions in the coming years as they become more feasible.
