Raymond to expand presence with new retail stores

Raymond is one of the most well known textile brands in the Indian market.

The company is now working on expanding their presence throughout the country.

They are planning to open about 300 stores by end-March 2011.

The aim is to have around 800 stores by that time.

Raymond would be investing around Rs 100 crore on this initiative.

The company said in a statement: “We are investing Rs 100-crore to set up precisely 289 Raymond shops but we expect to do more than 300. This expansion plan is for the period between April 2009 and March 2011.”

Some of the cities which are part of this plan are: Bijapur, Ahmednagar, Bellary, Mandya, Ghoti, Ambezogai and Bhandara.
